Body of a 20-year old youth, who had gone missing on Sunday, was found near lower lake under Jehangirabad police station area on Tuesday; police claimed that the death occurred under suspicious circumstances.
According to police on Tuesday a body was found near at lower lake and police were informed after spotting the body. A police team reached the spot and started further investigation.
Investigating Officer SI Rajeev Thakur said that the in the initial investigation the deceased was identified as Faizu Khan who went missing on Sunday. later his family lodged a complaint with the Jehangirabad police after they failed to find him.
The deceased used to work as building painter and was a resident of laxmiganj Galla Mandi and on Tuesday he the left house returned house but never returned after which family lodged a missing complaint.
After preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem a case under section 174 of the CrPC was registered by the police. During the investigation police found that the deceased married one year ago and separated from his family.
On Tuesday his body was found floating near Khatlapura area at lower lake. The post mortem report is awaited and after receiving it, the reason behind the death could be ascertained.
Whether it was a suicide or the deceased was killed, would be investigated. The families of both the deceased and his wife were not happy with the marriage which is seen as reason behind the death but still nothing could be said and would be investigated.
