The district police have arrested a youth on the charge of abducting and raping a four-year old girl on Thursday evening. Meanwhile, film actress and All India Congress Committee (AICC) member Nagma visited the hospital to see the victim girl. Police sources claimed that Arjun Banjara, rapist of minor girl, has been arrested on Friday. On Thursday evening, the offender Arjun Banjara abducted the girl when she was playing outside the house in Bilkheria. After some time, he dropped the girl at home. At that time, girl was crying when her parents saw her, she had injury marks on private parts and she was bleeding.
Her parents immediately rushed her to local police station and from there she was taken to hospital where doctors said it is a rape case. Victim girl is being treated at hospital and her condition is stable. She is in a state of shock.
Superintendent of Police Ansuman Singh told that rapist Arjun Banjara has been held and he would be produced in court on Saturday and would be taken on remand.
When contacted, Bilkheria police station in charge Manoj Dixit said that accused Arjun Banjara was held from near a dhaba which is situated outside the Bhopal. “He was held from road. By seeing the police, he tried to beat the hasty retreat but was caught,” said Manoj Dixit.
On Friday noon, film actress Nagma went to Kamla Nehru hospital to see the victim girl. She expressed concern on the incident and demanded stern action against the accused.
