A 21-year-old girl student of a private college was blackmailed with the help of an obscene MMS by her ex-boyfriend. The incident came to fore, when the victim approached MP Nagar police station on Tuesday and filed a complaint in this regard.
According to the police, the victim, who is pursuing BCA. He lives in Rachna Nagar, told police in a complaint that a youth Brijesh Kaurav, who lived in a rented house in her neighbourhood, has been blackmailing her with the help of an obscene MMS.
She told that first Brijesh befriended her and remained in contact for several months.
In this duration, she did not know as when he prepared the obscene MMS of hers.
later, showing the MMS, Brijesh has been blackmailing her forcing to marry her.
On refusal, he has threatened to defame her family by making the MMS public and send to her parents as well.
She stated that she did not want to marry him.
On this, the police investigated the
matter and later, registered an FIR under
sections of IT Act.
On the leads provided by the victim
that Brijesh hailed from Gadarwara in Narsinghpur district, the police have sent a team to his home town.
