The TT Nagar police has arrested a youth on the charge of abetment to commit suicide of a 26-year-old girl who committed suicide by hanging with ceiling at her house near Rangmahal talkies on Friday; suicide note revealed youth was reason behind suicide, family members have raised allegations of pressurising girl to convert religion which forced her to take extreme step.
The deceased girl was identified as Rekha Barele who committed suicide and in suicide note it was revealed that Adil Khan of Polytechnic square area is responsible for her extreme step.
CSP TT Nagar Umesh Tiwari said that family members have alleged that accused used to pressurise her to embrace Islam so that he could marry her. The matter is in initial investigation state and in the further investigation details would be investigation taking legal advice if required.
The accused has been booked under Abetment to Suicide case and has also been booked under Prevention of Protection Act SC-ST Act, he added.The body was sent for post mortem after preliminary investigation. Adil works with a garment shop while deceased used to work with a call centre.
Brother of deceased alleged that his sister had revealed details of accused and pressurizing her for converting religion. After deceased failed to accept his proposal of converting religion victim scheduled marriage with other girl.
