State Congress president Arun Yadav in a letter to President Pranab Mukherjee demanded action against two Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officers alleging that they violated service rules.
Yadav in his letter to the President said that the two IAS officers Rajesh Rajora and SK Mishra visited the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) office on Friday and on the next day, Rajora made presentation before the State executive of the saffron party at its State headquarters. "This is not the first instance in Madhya Pradesh, but probably this is the first time when the entire administrative system has been ashamed. The act of the BJP Government for calling the IAS officers at its office and the officer's act to made presentation before a political party's state executive has distracted all those who have faith in the constitution," Yadav added.
Yadav said that the fact amaze one and all over Rajora's audacity that he made presentation before the BJP's state executive in presence of two union ministers Narendra Singh Tomar and Thanwarchand Gehlot, chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and his cabinet colleagues. "I consider that both the IAS officers would be well aware of the Indian Administrative Services rules and they would also be knowing that if they violates service rules disciplinary action could be taken against them. Hence, under whatever circumstances including voluntarily, deliberately, under pressure or compulsion the act done by them is not only malpractice but also make their abilities suspicious" he added.
He said that it is matter of regret that the BJP government of Madhya Pradesh is forcing the IAS officers to work as its party workers despite the fact that there are established service norms under legislative rules and regulations for the working of IAS officers. He said that Rajora and Mishra are guilty of violating service norms hence strict action should be taken against them.
