The youngsters of the city can now enhance their music hobby by learning the basics of classical music.
A five-day workshop is being held at Jawahar Bal Bhavan, which would continue till Friday. The main objective of the workshop is to create awareness and interest among youths about Indian classical music. Moreover, apart from preliminary and theoretical aspects of classical music, training would also be given in finer points and technique of classical music.
The students would be drawn towards learning the rhythms of the music on which all forms of music are based. Music gives pleasure to people. Essentially music creates a joyous atmosphere. Especially children enjoy the moves and groves on the music beats. This workshop is basically organised for children who are seriously interested in learning about the music. The idea behind organizing this workshop was to familiarize the children with the pure essence of the rhythms and the soothing music.
The workshop is being conducted by Nirmala Upadhyay, HOD of musical department Jawahar Bal Bhavan who has conducted various workshops at Jawahar Bal Bhavan to teach the aspirants the minute details of the classical music. The students will only learn the basics of the music at the workshop.
For re-establishing importance of classical music and popularizing it among new generation, Jawahar Bal Bhavan conducts this workshop every time. This workshop also gives the participants an opportunity to learn the music with more keen interest.
