Workshop ‘Doodle Monsoon’ today

Staff Reporter

A fun-filled artistic workshop ‘Doodle Monsoon’ will be held during the monsoon season. In this workshop, Bangalore-based doodler Aditi Shukla will teach easy and soulful monsoon doodles.

Organized by Sarjana Academy for Design and Fine Arts, the workshop will be held on Sunday.

Doodles are especially popular with school children because a doodle is a picture that usually has a different focus while making it. Doodles may seem like a very simple drawing, but sometimes they leave a deep impression.

A doodle is a drawing made while a person's attention is otherwise occupied. Doodles are simple drawings that can have concrete representational meaning or may just be composed of random and abstract lines, generally without ever lifting the drawing device from the paper, in which case it is usually called a "scribble".

Doodling and scribbling are most often associated with young children and toodlers, because their lack of hand eye coorfination and lower mental development often make it very difficult for any young child to keep their colouring  attempts within the line art of the subject. Despite this, it is not uncommon to see such behavior with adults, in which case it is generally done jovially, out of boredom.
