Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Madhya Pradesh president and MP Nandkumar Singh Chouhan while addressing party workers of nine districts of Indore division in Indore on Monday underlined the need of making 2 crore members. He said, “In the coming 57 days we need to indulge in membership extension drive everyday and for that we need to do remain in contact from Mandal to polling booth level workers and have to convince people to become member of BJP.”

BJP MP State organisational general secretary Arvind Menon also addressed the meet that was attended by all senior party leaders and office bearers of all levels of the Indore Division and associated districts and mandals. District and mandal wise ongoing efforts of the mega membership drive of the party were discussed in the meeting.

Chouhan said, “The year 2013-14 remained victorious for the BJP while the party would create a new world record of membership of a political party in the year 2015. The BJP is the largest political party of the country with maximum members but the present world record is with the Communist Party of China that has over 8.5 crore members I its fold. The BJP would beat this record and would create a new world record.”

Chouhan further said that the target of making 10 crore members might appear very big but the morale of the BJP workers is also as tall as a mountain and we are confident that together we would achieve this target. The state organization would play decisive role in achieving this target as Madhya Pradesh unit of the party would make maximum 2 crore members, he added. The BJP state president called on all the party workers, leaders and office bearers to make all well-wishers of the party as members and to set up their personal targets of making new members on daily basis.
