Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that work should be done in a better way for child development, child protection and women empowerment. Good work should be done in Anganwadi services and nutrition campaign. Ex-gratia should be given to the family members of Anganwadi workers who have died. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was reviewing the works of Women and Child Development Department in Mantralaya today. Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains and departmental officers were present in the meeting.
The Chief Minister gave instructions for better implementation of schemes for children under the set target. The sex ratio at birth in the state is 956, which is higher than the sex ratio of 929 in India. Initiative should be taken to rehabilitate the children residing in child care institutions, in the families. Do all you can to help the children to stand on their feet. Promote children according to their ability. Provide good education facilities.
Chouhan said that there should be no shortfall in the education of children across the state. There should be special concern particular for the girl.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that special attention should be paid to child protection in the state. Efforts should be made to save children from crime.
Chouhan said that distribution programme of Ladli Laxmi scholarship should be organised. Develop and upgrade Ladli Laxmi 2.0 Portal. Chief Minister Chouhan said that Ladli Laxmi has got respect in the state. There are 40 lakh 75 thousand Ladli Laxmis in the state. This is a revolutionary change. In the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, the state has been at the first position in the country for three consecutive years. Work should be done seriously by planning on 'Child Budgeting'.
Chief Minister Chouhan congratulated after reviewing the nutrition campaign and Mukhyamantri Bal Arogya Samvardhan programme. He said that the arrangements for nutritional food should be better. Department should do better work. Strict action should be taken against those committing irregularities.
