Panic prevailed in Mangalgarh village under Nazirabad police station area after charred body of a 53-year-old woman was found near her house in the evening on Monday; police suspects that death was not accidental.
According to the police body of Govind Kanwar Bai was found dead behind her house in farms. After the family members spotted the deceased, police were informed and on the receipt of the information police team was rushed to the spot.
SHO Nazirabad Ramesh Singh Chouhan said that the deceased left the house for her farms at around 1 pm and when she not returned till the evening the family members started and later at around 8 pm she was found in injured state having burn injuries.
The body was found in charred state but it is not possible to ascertain that the deceased was killed or she committed suicide, he added.
It is possible that the deceased was killed and later her body was disposed by burning.
At the time when the deceased left the house only her daughter-in-law was present but she had expressed ignorance over any kind of problem with her mother-in-law and she claimed that no fight occurred between them.
The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation. Police said that case of murder would be registered if it found in the investigation. The post mortem report is awaited which could help in revealing the reason behind the death of the deceased.
