A 25-year-old married woman and her 5-month-old daughter were found dead under mysterious circumstances in a well at Runhawa village under Nazirabad police station area on Monday. According to the police, body of a woman and her baby girl were found at Runhawa by the locals. Police sent the body for the post mortem after preliminary investigation.
The deceased has been identified as Sona Bai and the baby girl was her daughter. The two didn’t have any visible injury marks which suggested that the deceased might have committed suicide but that can’t be ascertained without receiving post mortem report. Initial investigations suggest that the deceased was not sexually assaulted as clothes of the deceased were found intact.
Deceased’s husband Mohar Singh told the police that he had provided his wife Rs200 to visit her parents on Sunday but she went missing with later found dead. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation. Meanwhile a 56-year-old man was found dead at culvert near Naya Basera under Kamla Nagar police station area on Sunday.
