Dejected over not allowing her to visit her parents, a 20-year-old married woman committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling at Amrai Parisar under Bagh Sewania police station area late in the night on Tuesday. She was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead.
Investigating Officer ASI Premchand Dwivedi said that the deceased got married to Kamlesh two years ago. Kamlesh works as labourer and is addicted to liquor. The couple regularly used to fight. The deceased’s parents used to live in Vidisha and she wanted to meet her parents but her husband would stop her resulting frequent fights.
On Tuesday night the deceased had a fight with her husband and when the family members went to sleep she committed suicide. She was found hanging at around 1 in the night by her husband. She was rushed to JP hospital where she was declared dead.
During the investigation the police have not found any suicide note which could reveal the reason behind the suicide and in the investigation the possible reason was found to be reason of not allowing visiting parents house but the reason is still being investigated, the police said.
The body has sent for the post mortem and a case under Section 174 of the CrPC was registered. Statements of the parents of the deceased would be recorded in the investigation, said police.
