Depressed for not being able to conceive, a 28-year-old woman committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling at her Shiva Nagar residence in Chhola Mandir police station area on Sunday.
According to police, the deceased Poonam Thakur was found hanging with the ceiling and was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was died during treatment late night on Sunday. Husband of deceased works with a private company and have claimed that the reason of the extreme step was incapability of the deceased to have child.
In the initial investigation, police found that the deceased got married four years ago and did not have child from the marriage. She was undergoing treatment for resolving the issue of bearing child but on Sunday committed suicide.
Body was sent for the post mortem and after the preliminary investigation police registered a case under section 174 of CrPC and started further investigation.
Police have not found any suicide note which could help in revealing the reason behind the suicide and in the investigations the reason would be investigated as the family members have claimed that the deceased was incapable of having children but nothing could be ascertained at the moment and post mortem report is awaited which could help in revealing the details.
Meanwhile. a 23-year-old truck driver was mowed down under his truck near Reliance Depot at Khajoori on Sunday.
Police said that a truck driver was injured after his parked truck hit him near Reliance Depot. The truck driver was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead. The deceased was identified as Hairshchandra who was a resident of Sultanpur.
The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation. In the initial investigation police found that the deceased was on his way to Indore and stopped near Reliance Depot for some work and parked the truck and was standing in front of truck when the truck starting rolling and before he could understand he was mowed down by the truck.
