A notorious, watch-list criminal molested his 23-year old sister-in-law and injured his brother who tried to rescue his wife at Roshanpura slums under Jehangirabad police station area on Tuesday.
According to the police, the victim's husband was asleep and was cooking in the kitchen, the accused Badshah entered the house in an inebriated state and tried to outrage her modesty.
In a bid to save herself, the victim raised an alarm which alerted her husband Saleem, who rushed to her rescue but was attacked by the accused. After hitting him, the accused escaped the spot and is still at large.
Soon after the incident, the victim and her husband lodged a complaint with the Jehangirabad police. After the preliminary investigation, the police have registered a case.
In the complaint, the victim has alleged that on Tuesday morning her brother-in-law Badshah arrived at home and was drunk. Unaware of the ill intentions of her brother-in-law, she offered him breakfast.
The accused was not interested and started to molest her.
Fearing arrest, the accused escaped and is still at large. Police have launched a manhunt to nab the miscreant.
In the initial investigation the family has not accepted misconduct with women of the family but they were not able to confirm any such incidents outside the house.
