The district police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested three persons including a woman allegedly involved in the murder of a 45-year-old man.

It may be mentioned that leela Kishan was found dead at his house. Police said the victim’s wife Shyamwati had reportedly informed cops that her husband died of electrocution and the same was accepted by the police. However, during the course of investigation it was established that the victim was actually strangulated and later made it electrocuted himself to avoid any evidence.

A police officer further disclosed that when Shyamwati and her daughter Meenakashi were questioned, they had reportedly confessed that Shyamwati had actually conspired the killing of her husband with her alleged boyfriend Mustaq. The officer said illicit relationship between Shayamwati and Mustaq Khan of Dohara was surfaced as the reason behind the murder. The victim used to harass his wife Shyamwati and beat him now and then.

The victim was suffering from mental illness and due to his illness he used to wander in the nearby areas. He was not able to meet the needs and used to beat his wife frequently. Frustrated by the atrocities Shyamwati had decided to kill her husband with the help of Mustaq and on Tuesday night Mustaq along with his friend Rehmat went to victim’s house and told Meenakshi to remain outside for sometime. They strangulated the victim to death and then to cover the crime by electrocuting him. The police have registered a case under Section 302 and 120(B) of the IPC.
