Petlawad remained a nonissue in the run for the Ratlam-Jhabua parliamentary by-polls campaigning that would come to an end on Thursday and the constituency would go for voting on Saturday.
Petlawad that was rocked with twin blasts that claimed near about 100 lives and injured over 100 in the month of September was believed to be a certain issue in the by-poll at least by the opposition Congress due to the alleged involvement of a RSS functionary in the blasts. But surprisingly the issue was not only completely overlooked during Congress campaigning as the Central leaders who came for campaigning had not made any mention of the issue in their campaigning nor did the local leaders try to garner votes over the issue but also the opposition leaders like the ruling party avoided visiting the place of those who lost their lives in the blasts.
The ruling BJP that must be happy with the opposition strategists also totally overlooked the issue as it was in its interest and followed suit of the Congress by not visiting the places of victims.
In fact, the political parties' leaders visiting the place on election tour avoids passing near the houses of those who died in the blasts as none wants to face the family members of the victims with the fear that if someone demands or asks some troublesome question.
In any case there are no traces of the main accused of the blasts case and no political party is ready to rattle the issue of the near about 100 deaths for their own personal benefits in the by-poll that's is scheduled for November 21.
Congress' Kantilal Bhuria who lost the 2014 parliamentary elections and BJP's Nirmala Bhuria are locking horns to enter Parliament from this tribal- dominated constituency.
