The Madhya Pradesh Government is likely to announce the new Chief Secretary of the State in next couple of days.Sources said Indraneel Shankar Dani, who is currently holding the Additional Chief Secretary, Home, is likely to replace the incumbent R Parsuram. However, no specific names have been mentioned so far.
Though Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan intends to continue the services of the incumbent Chief Secretary, Parsuram would get some new responsibilities.
Besides Dani the other name doing round for the post is that of Antony JC D’sa.Both Dani and D’sa are in the good books of Chief Minister and Chouhan liked the working style of both officers.
Dani is known for his cool style of working while Disa is famous for his aggressive style. Chief Minister became ‘fan’ of D’sa for the way he worked for the implementation of cheap food grain in the State following State Government’s intents before the food security bill of the Centre, while Dani increased his points in Chouhan’s good books by working on the law and order front.
Meanwhile, the chief secretary R Parsuram hosted lunch for the officers, field officers also attended the lunch. The way Parsuram introduced Dani to the officers strengthened the possibilities that Dani is going to be his successor.
Parsuram is on extension of six months by the state government and the prevailing conditions suggest that it is sure now that he would have to leave the chair of chief secretary before his extension comes to an end. Though his chair of CS would be taken in helplessness but it is for sure that he would get some new and important responsibility.
