The farmers who have sold wheat at Government fair price shops and have not yet received the payment, should receive the payments in their bank accounts in next two days,” instructed Collector Nikunj Shrivastava.
Collector was addressing a meeting on Monday and gave directions to the officials concerned. He instructed the officials that the payment of the farmers should be deposited in their bank accounts within two days.
He directed that the bank authorities and district officials should ensure that this is done in time. He also said that no negligence would be tolerated in this issue.
During the meeting ADM (South) Basant Kurre and ADM (North) Umashankar Bhargava were present along with other district officials.
Shirvastava further said that no kind of difficulty should be faced by the farmers in wheat procurement. He said that the farmers selling their wheat should receive their payments on time.
He said that if any farmer has not received the payment should get it within two days and it is the responsibility of the Managing Director of the co-operative Bank to look into the matter accordingly. He also said that all the details should be updated in E- procurement software so that the farmers could receive the SMS regarding the payment.
