The 67th Rail Week Celebration 2022 of West Central Railway was celebrated on Friday at Rail Utsav Community Hall, Madanmahal. In today's program, Sudhir Kumar Gupta, General Manager, WCR felicitated 26 officers and 83 employees working in Bhopal, Jabalpur, Kota divisions, various factories and headquarters by giving medals, citations and cash prizes.
Apart from this, a total of 25 departmental efficiency shields including 41 collective awards, over all efficiency shields were also given.
For the first time in India, on April 16, 1853, the first train between Bori Bunder and Thane in Mumbai was operated. On this occasion, the Railway Week celebrations started from 1956, under which a review of the performance of the previous year was taken and a resolution was taken to do better in the coming financial year.
The General Manager while addressing said that Indian Railways has a huge contribution in the progress of the country.
One officer and 4 employees of WCR have received individual awards at Railway Minister level.
The General Manager said that it is a matter of great pleasure for all of us that our Bina Solar Plant located in Bina of Bhopal Division has been awarded internationally by the "International Union of Railways" (UIC) in the prize distribution function organized in Berlin by Sustainable Railways. Award has been received.
West Central Railway is the first fully electrified zone in Indian Railways with a complete 3012 route km. is electrified. In the same period, we have installed 35 Road Under Bridges and LHS 11 Road Over Bridges and closed 42 Level Crossing Gates.
