Schemes have been chalked out to provide up to Rs50,000 and assistance to journalists for treatment of diseases, insurance for journalists and honorarium to senior journalists. The Government is keen to ensure journalists’ welfare, said Commissioner Public Relations Rakesh Shrivastava while holding discussions with journalists at Anuppur. He said that he is holding discussions with journalists at district and division levels for apprising himself of their problems.
He added that journalists can play pioneering role in disseminating information to common people about public welfare schemes launched by the State Government. He also gave information about Free Medicine Distribution Scheme, Free Pathology Tests Scheme, Mukhyamantri Yuva Swarozgar Yojana, Mukhyamantri Contractor Yojana etc.
