Notorious and wanted criminal kept the district police on their toes after he assaulted and threatened a youth, victim of murderous assault case, set on fire car of a trader who refused to extort money at TT Nagar.
Police said that along with two others Shadab alias Zehreele threatened and pressurized Pintu Kashyap at Jawahar Chowk for withdrawal of attempt to murder case. Pintu was victim and complainant in attempt to murder case.
Later, Shadab assaulted a person and went to Kohli sports in the late evening to extort money and when the owner refused to pay money accused set his car on fire and robbed sports goods.
Soon after the incident police swung into action and all police stations, check posts and patrolling parties and police personnel were alerted to nab the accused as he was having loaded gun. Half a dozen teams conducted raids at several places on Tuesday but failed to find him.
After the incident of setting car on fire and attempting robbery at Kohli sports Shadab was spotted at Banganga area by police personnel of Charlie team and when the police personnel tried to nab him he opened fire and shot three rounds and tried to escape but was nabbed by the police.
In the investigation when he was questioned he provided details of the two accomplices who were with him and later they were nabbed late in the night. The accused was absconding in attempt to murder case and remained in TT Nagar area. The accused is a watch list criminal of TT Nagar police.
