Vyapam scam: Gulab Singh Kirar suspended from BJP

Staff Reporter

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday suspended Madhya Pradesh Backward Class Commission (MPBCC) member Gulab Singh Kirar from the primary membership of the party after his name figured in the FIR filed by CBI in Vyapam scam; though confusion prevails over his MPBCC membership that provides him Minister of State status. The confusion over his Ministerial status prevails because the party has not mentioned anything in the suspension letter about his MPBCC membership. BJP State president Nandkumar Singh Chouhan confirmed the action taken against Kirar.

Notably, the CBI on Wednesday registered three FIRs in the Vyapam scam. The CBI has named 21 candidates in the FIR in connection with PMT Test 2010, eight in the second case related to Pre-PG examination of 2011 which includes Gulab Singh Kirar a member of the MP Backward Classes and Minorities Commission and his son Shakti Singh Kirar.
