A 25-year-old State-level volleyball player committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling at South TT Nagar under TT Nagar police station on Thursday.
Police said Mayank Singh Yadav was found dead at his residence on Thursday evening. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead. A police officer, investigating the case, said the victim was not facing any problem and his suicide could not be ascertained at the moment. The officer further informed that the victim used to play volleyball at TT Nagar Stadium and had represented State earlier. On Thursday he was with his mother but in the evening he had received a phone call and then he went to his room and allegedly committed suicide. The police have registered a case under Section 174 of the CrPC and the body has been sent for post mortem.
Meanwhile, a 16-year-old girl committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling at her New Ambedkar Nagar residence under Kolar police station on Thursday.The reason of the suicide remains ascertain but the details would be revealed during further investigation, told the police.
