Voices for renaissance of Congress in Madhya Pradesh have started gaining momentum, as a day after a former minister and former MP raised voice against state leadership, another former minister and MPCC vice-president Raja Pateriya wrote a letter to party vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Thursday demanding to infuse fresh blood in the party and to start large-scale agitation under a new leadership to regain power in the state.
Pateriya expressing concern over the prevailing factionalism culture in the party asked the party VP to prepare new leadership and workers through agitations and Satyagrahs. “Don’t know why the Congress that took birth from agitations and got strengthened through agitations fears from organizing agitations. May be the opportunist and power hungry leaders could be cause of this. Because after shifting of power our leaders engages in taking favors from the ruling BJP and ignores Congress workers due to that the workers get disappointed and starts drifting away from the party,” Pateriya said.
Pateriya further said that it is time that the party would have to get rid of aerial leaders that do not have any mass base. Besides, it is necessary that the party workers should be trained because in the present circumstances the leaders have prepared workers for their own sloganeering and it is through these workers that they play game of weakening of strong leadership by defaming it and to play spoilsport for the party in the elections, he added.
He said that change of leadership is must in the state and the reigns of the state should be handed over to a leader of top stature with clean image as only such leader could bring back power for the party in the state. For ending the factionalism in the party bogus biggies should be kept away from the election process in the state or they should be compelled to remain disciplined and under control to work in limited areas, he added.
