The State Government has reconstituted the State Level Vigilance and Monitoring Committee constituted under the Scheduled Castes and Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Rules-
1995.
The twenty-member committee constituted under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Kamal Nath will include Home Minister Bala Bachchan, Finance Minister Tarun Bhanot and Scheduled Caste Welfare Minister Lakhan
Ghanghoria.
MLAs Harishankar Khatik, Harisingh Sapre, Kamlesh Jatav, Ranveer Singh, Raksha Santram Saronia, Jajpal Singh (Jajji), Shivdayal Bagri, Sohanlal Valmik, Mahesh
Parmar, Ramlal Malviya and Manoj Chawla have
also been nominated members.
Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary Home, Director General of Police, Director of the National Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes, Regional Office, Bhopal will also be members in the committee.
The Principal Secretary Scheduled Caste Welfare Department will be
the convener of the Committee.
