A vegetable seller was robbed of Rs10,000 at knife-point in Industrial Area locality under Ashoka Garden police station area late at night on Sunday. Manik Chand Gupta was on his way to home after the weekly market at Piplani at around 11 pm, when two bike-borne youth attacked him and robbed him at knife-point. Before the victim could understand anything, the miscreants managed to flee. He raised an alarm but as the area was deserted, no one came to his rescue, said police.

later, a complaint was lodged with the Ashoka Garden police and in the complaint, the victim has claimed that after completing his work at around 11 pm when he was on his way to home, two bike-borne miscreants appeared and told him to hand over his money.

Police denied that he was also robbed of his mobile phone by the miscreants. In the robbery, the victim sustained injuries near ears and both the arms while trying to resist the crime, but police also denied it and have registered a case of robbery against unidentified miscreants. Based on the description provided by the victim, police have started searching for the miscreants.
