House of an insurance agent at Nirmala Kuni was targeted by miscreants and valuables worth Rs 1 lakh were burgled on Wednesday.
Police said that the victim Rajendra Kunjur along with his family had gone to meet his relative in Chhattisgarh and when he returned on Wednesday afternoon he found the valuables were burgled. A complaint was lodged by the victim with the Baghsewania police and in his complaint, he stated that he along with his family had gone to meet relatives n Chattisgarh last week and when he returned in the afternoon on Wednesday he found that the locks were broken and when he entered the house valuables were found burgled.
In the burglary, gold and silver jewelry and hoods were burgled. The victim has claimed that the total loss in the burglary is around Rs 1 lakh. The police have registered a case under sections 457 and 380 of the IPC and have started further investigation.
Police said that the CCTV footage of the nearby installed cameras would be searched in the further investigation. The neighbours were not aware of the burglary.
