Depressed with his long unemployed status, a 30-year-old man committed suicide by hanging from a ceiling of his room in Chhatrasal Nagar under Piplani police station area on Friday.
A suicide note was recovered. Police said around 10.30 pm on Friday deceased’s wife Archana received a SMS from the victim, Mukesh Vsihwakarma, stating that he was not capable to take care of her and she should find a good and capable partner. Immediately after receiving the message Archana who was at her parents’ house alerted victim’s friends in Bhopal.
When the friends went to check the victim at his house they were shocked to find him hanging and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead. For last days Archana, who suffered some illness, was at her parents’ house for treatment. The victim lost his job two months ago. In the last few days he had tried hard to find a job but was not able to find one. In the suicide note, the deceased did not mention why he took the extreme step but thankful to the people who helped him. Archana and the deceased got married last year only and the couple lived in a rented apartment.
After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and subsequently a case under Section 174 of the IPC was registered. The police have started further investigation.
