Madhya Pradesh Government and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan are facing uncertainty over the cabinet expansion in the light of disqualification of Water Resources Minister ‘Paid news case’ implicating Public Relations Minister Narottam Mishra.

On June 23, the Election Commission in its decision had held Mishra disqualified for contesting elections for three years. Since then, uncertainty is prevailing in the Government, as the departments that were in possession of Mishra are unable to take important decisions.

On Friday, while talking to media persons at his residence, Chouhan told that cabinet expansion is being mulled. However, in the afternoon, Mishra got relief from Supreme Court in the afternoon, in which the Apex court directed to stay the decision nullifying the seat of Mishra and asked the Delhi High Court to hear the plea in two weeks.
