A joint team of district administration and Health department on Monday raised two sonogrpahy centres in Budhwara and Talaiya localities and sealed them on the charge of their involvement in illegal abortions.
After having tipped off, a team of officials including Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) Dr Pankaj Shukla inspected both the centres- Chaube Ultrasound of Dr KK Chaube and Chawla Diagnostic centre of Dr Rajesh Chawla.
When asked, the doctors could not provide F form that is filled by the women before abortion. Dr Shukla informed that the documents available with the centres do not match with the records made available by these doctors to the CMHO office. Dr Chawla also told SDM that he does not keep any record related to the abortion of below 15 weeks.
