Two solo plays Theek Tumhare Peeche and Veni were staged at Madhya Pradesh State Tribal Museum on Wednesday.
Theek Tumare Peeche is a combination of 12 short stories written by Manav Kaul. Directed by Vikas Rajpoot, the play was performed by Abhi Sisodiya.
Among the 12 stories and poems, Abhi performed the story 'Maa'. With the word mother, purity, morality, greatness have been stitched in such a fine manner that at times it becomes a burden. But this burden remains untold. Manav Kaul has dared to tell that untold in his story.
It is the story of a mother's struggle, who is struggling to keep her son and herself alive in the difficult times.
There is a mother, who is alone, who falls in love and that lover is not her husband. This character mother has a son, who can neither share her mother's loneliness nor her love. The whole story is just a description of the sadness of not being able to share it - a helplessness, regret that has engulfed the son's mind just after the death of the mother.
The play was beautifully presented leaving the audience mesmerised.
Another play Veni is the story of women and her steuggle. Directed and performed by Nupur Pandey, the play tells the story of women and the politics done with her.
Both the plays were staged beautifully and the stories managed to keep the interest of the audience intact.
