Two minors drowned at water filled trench in Sarkhndi village under Berasia police station late in the afternoon on Monday; two were siblings and drowned under suspicious circumstances.
Sensation prevailed in the area, after the bodies surfaced at the water filled trench, police were informed after the locals spotted the body and on the receipt of the information a police team reached the spot and started the investigation.
According to Investigating Officer ASI Kl Sunhare the two deceased was siblings and were identified as laxmi (15) and her brother Rahul (12). In the afternoon on Tuesday afternoon both the siblings have gone outside and later drowned.
The incident took place at around 3 pm a local who spotted them drowning but failed to save them. The bodied were fished out and police were informed.
The father of the deceased works as a labour at Habibganj and was at work at the time of the incident.
After the preliminary investigation the bodies were sent for the post-mortem. A case under section 174 of the CrPC was registered by the police.
Police said that the deceased left the house in the afternoon and were later found dead on in the evening.
In the possible that the deceased might have gone to take bath and later drowned but to ascertain the reason of death is not possible at the moment and more revelations could in the further investigation. The post mortem report is awaited which could also help in the revealing the reason behind the death.
