Three persons including a woman were injured after a clash among the members of Kuchbandia community during its meeting at Suraj Nagar under Ratibad police station area on Friday.
Investigating Officer ASI Ghumendra Singh said that Sanjeet Sangat was among the victims who received serious injuries with a sharp-edged weapon.The victim was attacked after a verbal spate occurred over an issue between the attackers and victim during panchayat held of Kuchbandia community at Suraj Nagar area and the verbal spate soon turned violent and victim was attacked with sharp edged weapon in his face, head and stomach.
Police said that the accused were not identified and escaped the spot. The condition is stable and after recording his statements further investigation would be done. The three injured were identified as Sanjeet Sankat, Santu Sangat and Nisha. Santu is Sangeet’s brother.
The incident took place at around 2 pm and after the information was received by the police at around 3 pm a police team reached hospital where the victims were taken.
Sangeet is undergoing treatment at the hospital while the two other victims were referred to other hospital and their well being was not available with the police.
In the initial investigation police found that a family dispute was going on and to resolve the dispute the victim urged the community Panchayat to intervene and on Friday during the
community Panchayat the clash erupted. Police have registered a case of assault against the unidentified miscreants and have started further investigation.
