Ashoka Garden police have nabbed two persons who were found involved in distributing pamphlets and cash in Subhash Colony on Friday, to influence people to cast vote against BJP.
Station House Officer of Ashoka Garden police station Mohan Sharvan said that the two persons were nabbed on Friday with pamphlets without print-line and envelops containing Rs 500 each.
A complaint was lodged by Subham Richharia regarding distribution of pamphlets and money to influence the voters. The pamphlets had contents against BJP which would harm the prospects of BJP candidates in the elections, he added.
Sharvan further added that the pamphlets did not have any symbols or signs related to any political party that suggests that the accused nabbed had malice against the BJP candidate in person due to which the action was taken. Besides, the two were also found distributing cash with an aim to influence voters.
