A two-day inter-unit workshop on e-procurement concluded the other day at BHEl, Bhopal. On this occasion AMV Yugandhar, Executive Director, BHEl, Bhopal was present as the chief guest. Around sixty participants from all units, divisions and regional offices of BHEl participated in the programme. All general managers and department heads of MM division were also present.
Yugandhar in his address threw light on the importance of e-procurement saying that the process is very efficient and transparent. He said that the time taken between placing purchase requisition to purchase order can be reduced following the process. At present when the delivery time for BHEl’s product is turning competitive, it is imperative to make procurements in an efficient, transparent and cost effective manner.
Earlier, Satnarayan, General Manager, MM & logistics welcomed the participants urging them to deliberate actively for positive decisions. An interaction between vendors of Govindpura Industrial Association and E-procurement portal service provider M/s m-Junction was also arranged. later, SK Agarwal, AGM, CMM proposed the vote of thanks.
