Crime branch nabbed two miscreants from Bagh Sewania area on the charge of looting people posing as police personnel and recovered robbed valuables from their possession.
According to the police, a miscreant was nabbed by crime branch from Katara Hills bus stop and when he was questioned he confessed robberies along with his accomplice Yogendra.
The nabbed accused was identified as Sachin Patil and he along with Yogendra had robbed a man of a mobile phone at lahapur culvert around 5 days ago. The nabbed accuseds were identified as Yogendra Carpenter (30) of Swarnkunj and Sachin Patil (29) of Barkheda Pathani.
Police have recovered two mobile phones, an ATM card and documents from their possession. Yogendra works as vehicle finance agent while Sachin work at a tea stall.
In the initial investigation the two confessed committing robbery on August 25 at laharpur culvert using car and in the second robbery on August 26 they robbed a mobile phone and purse carrying Rs 150 from at Katara Hills.
During the further investigation police would investigate robbery committed on August 26 as complaint regarding robbery has been made with the Bagh Sewania police but complaint regarding the robbery on August 25 has not been made.
The car bearing registration number MP04-KM9584 used in the robberies has been recovered by the police. Police said that during investigation more robberies would be revealed by the nabbed accused.
Crime record of the two would be searched and details of both the accused would be searched.
