The TT Nagar police have on Saturday paraded miscreants who created ruckus by attacking people with sharp edged weapons and vandalising vehicles on June 15 at Depot square.
On the smart city road where the goons spread panic, the police paraded them, so far 9 people have been arrested in the case. The police have registered a case against Shahrukh Khan and others in more than 6 sections including rioting. Shahrukh remains absconding.
The complainant Roshan had told that around 11 in the night, he was going towards Shyamala Hills from the Depot square when some miscreants stopped the car in front of the city hospital and attacked the car, hitting the car with a sharp edged weapon.
Some miscreants were vandalizing shops and repeatedly asking for babu battalions. TT Nagar police said that on the complaint of Roshan Kumar Jha, a case was registered against others.
On the basis of CCTV footage on Thursday, the police made 17 miscreants accused in the case. These include Shahrukh, Kapil, Add Mohsin, Arshad, Chirata, Azam, Golu, Shohil, Rehan, Nilesh, Pintu, Aslam, Aleem, Gaurav, Nadeem, Noman, Adil and others. According to the police, Shahrukh is the District Magistrate. He is absconding. The police have arrested Gaurav, Arshad, Azam, Mubeen, Nilesh, Aslam, Nadeem, Arshad and Adnan in the case.
The police checked the CCTV footage of the hotel. In this, the miscreants who came from the bike were seen creating a ruckus with sharp edged weapons assaulting people and vandalising shops and vehicles which created stampede.
Shahrukh is goon of Roshanpura and was externed while Babu battalion is goon of Kamla Nagar area. There was a fight between two two days back. Shahrukh was in search of Babu with his gang and got information of Babu and his aides at Depot square and attacked but failed to find Babu and created ruckus in the area.
