BHEl Bhopal is manufacturing GIS up to 145 kV and it has recently developed 420 kV, 40 kA GIS and in the process of uprating the same for higher rating. This is a new product and future will be dominated by this product in place of AIS. In order to have wide exposure of this new technology, a training programme was organised jointly by Switchgear Engineering and HRDC, Bhopal on EHV GIS for Technical Capability Building. The training was attended by engineers of all departments of SCR and Marketing Group, New Delhi.
HS Jain, a renowned person in the field of GIS, was faculty of this training program. He has 38 years of experience in the field of Research and Development of GIS. He has authored more than 24 papers and 22 patents granted.
The inputs given by Jain will help BHEl Engineers to get the in-depth knowledge of EHV GIS, Sub-Station layout, Construction and Configuration of EHV GIS. PK Goyal GM (HRDC), I Soreng Sr DGM (HRDC), Neelam Bhogal AGM (SWE) graced the occasion and Deepak Makhija Sr DGM (HRDC) organised the programme with SCR.
Meanwhile, BHEl Golf Club established in 1998 is organizing Bhopal Open Bhopal Golf Tournament on Sunday. Tee-off shall be held at 7.00 am. This is one of the prestigious tournaments of the State played on lush green 9 hole (Par 35) reverse 18 (Par 70) course. This is the only club that organises open Golf tournaments in the city. The Club has been organizing such tournaments in the past also to boost the game of Golf in the State of Madhya Pradesh and have been appreciated at large.
