The police in Mhow would soon be equipped with a permanent traffic crane to check illegal parking, said SDOP Mhow Jyoti Umat.
While talking to ‘The Pioneer, she said that the traffic police would charge fine of Rs 100 for the wrong parking of the two wheeler and Rs 300 for the wrong parking of the four-wheeler.
If the vehicle owner is not present with the vehicle, two-wheeler or four-wheeler, it would be seized and taken away by the traffic crane and then a fine of Rs 500 will be imposed on two-wheeler and Rs 800 for four-wheeler.
The license of the vehicle owner would be terminated permanently, if found repeatedly involved in Traffic violation.
Besides, soon Mhow will get the paid parking facility as the Mhow administration with the joint venture of cantonment board Mhow will come up for the paid parking facility as the vehicles of the owner will be safe.
On the other hand the traffic movement of the town will become smooth due to the systematic parking.
Addl SP Mhow Pankaj Kumawat told that people of Mhow living in the internal streets of the town park their cars on the main roads and outskirts of town for long hours and few people even park their cars in front of their house in the busy streets.
This hinders the traffic movement and creates traffic jams.
“We will get this vehicles park at the vacant lands of the cantonment board for which a fix parking fees will be collected from the vehicle owner and private traffic wardens will be employed for improvement of traffic system,” he added.
