Tainted IAS officer Tinu Joshi, who had surrendered in a district court on January 13 on a wheel-chair, was produced in the court walking. She had to return to the jail, after it was found that the judge was not in the chair, as it being Saturday. The next date for hearing has been fixed as January 30. Her husband Arvind Joshi is still absconding in the same case. The lokayukta police had registered a case of amassing assets more than their source of income.
On Saturday, when Tinu Joshi was produced in the court, she seemed quite fit, as she walked upto the court room and later returned on her own upto the police van. She went swiftly upstairs without any support and returned with the same speed. On January 13, when she had surrendered, she had remained in the court for four hours on wheel-chair but she chose to remain mum.
She continuously covered her face using shawl and went in tears after she heard of the rejection of her bail application. Notably, before surrendering in the court, she had reached the court premises in an ambulance of Chirayu hospital and was taken to the court room in a wheel chair. Giving reference of her condition her lawyer applied for bail but was rejected by the court and was ordered to send her under judicial custody for four days.
She was presented in the court after her police custody ended on Saturday but could not be produced in the court as the judge who was hearing the case was on holiday and Tinu Joshi would be produced in the court on January 30.
