Three persons died while one person was injured after the jeep they were travelling in fell into a culvert at Salamatpur under Sukhi Sewania police station area late in the night on Thursday. Seven people were travelling in the car at the time of the accident, claimed the police.
The jeep bearing registration number MP19-CA-3521 fell into a culvert and with the help of the locals they were rushed to hospital where three of them were declared dead while one escaped with injuries. Three others who were in the car were not found, said the police. The deceased were identified as Juned Ali (30), Himmat Singh Mehra (35) were resident of Salamatpur and Ajay Shukla (24), resident of Morena.
The three who are missing have been identified as Ankit Tomar, Mahendra and Danish Ali. After the preliminary investigation the bodies were sent for the post mortem.
After having dinner with the family Ankit Tomar on his birthday on Thursday left for Bhopal with his friends to celebrate birthday party but met accident near toll plaza at Sukhi Sewania.
Tomar was driving the car at the time of the incident and case has been registered against him.
Police said that the deceased were under the influence of alcohol or not would be investigated in the further investigation.
The police have registered a case under section 304 A, 279 and 337 of the IPC against Ankit Tomar and have started searching for the accused.
