A third year BPharma student of a private college committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling at his Rama Nagar residence under TT Nagar police station area on Sunday.
According to the police, the victim Sanjay Paraste was found hanging at his residence.
The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead.
Police were informed and on the receipt of the information a police team reached the spot and after post-mortem, the body was handed over to victim’s family members.
The victim was pursuing B Pharma from Millennium College and hailed from Dindori district.
The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
On Sunday evening when the victim’s friend had gone to meet him after knocking the doors several times when there was no response from inside, they peeped into the room through fanlight and
were shocked to find the victim was hanging.
They immediately broke open the main door and immediately rushed him to the nearby hospital.
The landlord and the neighbours were informed about the incident.
In the initial investigation the police have found that
the victim has not attending the college for the
past few days but the reason of the absenteeism is
still not clear.
Nothing concrete that could shed light on the suicide was found from the spot.
The victim left no
suicide note. The mobile phone details of the victim might help in the investigation. Statements of the family members which are yet to be recorded could prove helpful told the police.
