Baghsewania police have booked a miscreant who raped and cheated Rs 2 lakh from a 19-year-old girl; fraudster raped the girl on the pretext of facilitating job of Anganwadi supervisor in Bagasevaniya area.
In the name of providing job accused also cheated Rs 2 lakh and took accused to Jabalpur for examination and raped her in the hotel. Later wWhen the girl did not get a job for three months, she complained to the police.
Police said that 19-year-old girl operates a tiffin center along with her mother. In her complaint she told that Purushottam Shilpi, a mason of Raisen, used to come to eat food at his house. Due to his daily visits, he became close friends with the girl and her mother.
He told that the supervisor vacancies have opened in Anganwadi and he could help as he knows officials of the Department of Women and Child Development. She will get the job of supervisor in Anganwadi.
The victim told that in October 2021, she gave Rs 2 lakh rupees to Purushottam. After this, one of Purushottam's aides took him to Raisen to submit the form for the examination and later Purushottam took him to Jabalpur for examination. He raped her in the hotel in Jabalpur.
The accused asked him to stay for a few more days for the job, but when the victim started pressurizing him for the money, the accused started threatening to kill him. After this, the girl lodged a case against him in the police.
