There were stories of love and stories of happiness, the young Bhopalites shared their life stories with each other at Stories Worth Sharing Meet-up. The event was held here on Sunday at The Bombay Street Café which was a big hit among the youngsters.
It is to be noted that Stories Worth Sharing Meet-up is a storytelling initiative started by two engineering students, Mohit and Himanshu.
Interestingly, behind the initiative there’s another story. Based out of Delhi, the idea came to them on the ghats of river Ganga in Varanasi. With an intention to kill the noise and revive human interaction, they conduct storytelling meetups in different Indian cities. With a presence in 70 Indian cities, they are on a mission to revive the postcard culture. Here on Sunday, the second session in Bhopal was conducted. The event hosted close to 40 people and saw a great pool of audiences from wide age group. Hosted by the local chapter headed by Abhijeet Binjve, the team included of Ankit, Pratham, Himanshu and luvkush.
The next session is planned already and details shall be out soon. Notably, with an idea of making the time worthwhile on and off the internet, we are conducting offline meetups in different cities of India every weekend and regulate the online content at the same time. “Our meetups are a platform for commoners to come and share their set of stories which may not have changed the world but changed (their) world. With this initiative, we intend to revive the human interaction in this digital age where people are forgetting the art of communication,” informed Abhijeet.
