Under Mukhyamantri Shahari Swachchhata Missions, Rs 1,91,21,000 has been sanctioned to 15 urban bodies in the State for construction of community/public toilets. In all, 23 community toilets will be constructed utilizing this amount. Urban bodies will construct community/public toilets under their areas by adding their share.
A sum of Rs. 27 lakh each has been sanctioned to Bhikangaon Nagar Parishad in Khargone district, Nagar Palika Parishad Ashta in Sehore district, Alampur in Bhind for construction of 2 toilets each. Kothi Nagar Parishad in Satna district has been sanctioned Rs. 13 lakh 50 thousand, Meghnagar Nagar Parishad in Jhabua district Rs. 4 lakh 50 thousand for construction of one toilet and Akodia Nagar Parishad in Shajapur district has been sanctioned Rs 11 lakh 21 thousand for construction of 3 community toilets.
Nagar Parishad Barahi in Katni district, Patharia Nagar Parishad in Damoh, Gadhimalehra in Chhatarpur district, Nagar Parishad Nemawar in Dewas district, Nagar Parishad Chicholi in Betul district and Nagar Parishad Mauganj in Rewa district have been sanctioned 6 lakh 75 thousand each for construction of one community toilet each.
Nagar Parishad New Ramnagar in Satna district, Nagar Parishad Gotegaon in Narsinghpur district and Nagar Parishad Panagar in Jabalpur district have been sanctioned Rs. 13 lakh 50 thousand for construction of 2 toilets each.
Notably, for strengthening urban sanitation arrangement in the state, Mukhyamantri Shahari Swachchhata Mission being implemented at the state level has been merged into Swachchh Bharat Mission.
