Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has alleged that the Shivraj Singh Chouhan led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Government of the State is organising Madhya Pradesh bandh to cover up its failures and run away from its responsibilities.
AAP chief spokesman Akshay Hunka in a statement here on Tuesday said, “We strongly condemn the escapist route of the Chouhan and his BJP Government that is trying to escape from its responsibilities.”
Hunka further said that it is the responsibility of the Chief Minister of the State to compensate the losses suffered by the farmers. The BJP Government is doing vote bank politics. The peasants and their families in the State are committing suicides as their crops have been ruined by the unseasoned rains and hailstorms and the Chouhan Government at the place of taking things seriously is out to do politics over it, he added.
He said that the State Government is well aware that the dissemblance of special package it is doing would never come as the model code of conduct would come in to force in next couple of days. The farmers and people of the state very well knows the reality of Chouhan’s false claims over the issue as the commitments made by it after the crops of soybean were ruined are yet to be fulfilled by BKP government. Chouhan is again trying to mislead the people of the state but now he stands exposed and people would not become part of his gimmick this time, he added.
He said that the AAP would collect funds for the farmers and would distribute the collected money to them besides it would launch agitation for the rights of the farmers. He said that this BJP Government termed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal anarchist when he was staging sit-in, now the same people in order to divert the attention of farmers are talking of sit-in and MP bandh.
The AAP leader said that we want to know from the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister that who would be responsible for the problems faced by the common man during the band.
