Having failed to give term examination, a class X girl student committed suicide by consuming poisonous substance at Semri village under Kolar police station area on Tuesday.
According to the police, Swati Meena was found hanging by family members and was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead.
During the investigation police found that the victim was a student of Class X of a private school and had paper of term examination on Tuesday.
She requested her father to drop her for the paper but as he was busy he informed the principal of the school that the deceased would take the examination on Wednesday and went for some work.
later, the deceased consumed celphos tablets due to which her condition started to deteriorate and was rushed to Bansal hospital where she died during the treatment. After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and the police have registered a case under section 174 of CrPC.
Meanwhile a 27-year-old man drowned at water filled stone quarry near Technology Park under Ayodhya Nagar police station area on Wednesday.
According to Ayodhya police the deceased Bharat a resident of G-Sector Ayodhya Nagar drowned while taking bath at the water filled stone query. After spotting his body inside the water police were informed and his body was fished out. The deceased used to work as cloth trader.
Police said that the youth drowned at the water filled stone query as he did not know how to swim.
The investigation of the police was started and the body was sent for the post mortem.
