Sagar Public School Saket Nagar organised its annual signature overnight camp at its campus. The 19 th overnight camp of School is aimed to foster personal growth, creativity and boost confidence with learning beyond classrooms to over 700 Sagarites of grade III to VII.
The camp began with blessings of ‘Maa Saraswati’ and lighting of lamp by Sagarites followed by an oath and prayer on the theme of ‘Explore, Enhance and Enjoy’ in presence of Principal Ms Pankaj Sharma, camp director and camp coordinator. In next two days, Sagarites will explore and enhance their skills with their active participation in activities of pottery art, mural art, salad decoration, fireless cooking, tie & die, contemporary dance, classical music, art & craft, sports etc in events of Exploring Wilderness, Celebrating Togetherness, Trekking, Zum Zum Zumba, Sagarites Got Talent, Craftartica, Potter’s Wheel, Shilpkaar, Fun Frolic & Friends, Rock N Roll, Camp Fire and Team Games and will enjoy the sumptuous food. The main attraction of evening is the camp fire presented on Tom & Jerry with role plays of teachers and Sagarites followed by traditional Bengali, Chhattisgarhi and Punjabi dances to nurture the traditional and moral values amongst them followed by star gazing with telescope.
Day two of overnight camp will witness magic show, sports activities and skill workshops etc aimed to understand the importance of team work. In sports, dodge ball and circuit training competitions will be organized aimed to build personalities of Sagarites. Toran, gift wrapping, thali decoration, book mark, face masks will ignite creativity amongst Sagarites in art and craft workshops yet create bonds of sharing with believe in self. The warmth of the camp will set the ablaze of bonds and will garner great memories of life time.
The camp will conclude on November 2 with an award ceremony in which the campers will receive awards in various categories and segments with goodies bag along with memories of life time.
