The second special brief final electoral list would be published on September 27, 2018 while those who have completed 18 years on January 1, 2018 have been included in the voter list, said Chief Electoral Officer VL Kantha Rao during media briefing in the State capital on Monday.
He said that Defacement of Property Act would be imposed strictly and on Tuesday during video conferencing meeting with district collectors’ instructions for the same would be given. Replying to query he said that polling booths with less number of voters would be merged with the nearby polling booths.
For sharing information on model code of conduct, nomination, symbol, election expenses and system of election experts would hold a workshop for 74 political parties on September 15, 2018 at Noronha Academy of Administration at Shahpura.
For creating awareness among voters of the state Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) calendar has been released.
The calendar includes all activities which would be done in a week from state level to booth level.
After the first publication on July 31, 2018 till date a total of 2301514 forms have been received. In which for addition of name 1223628 - form number 6, for removal or objection 545505- form number 7, for changes 450489 –form number 8 have been received.
The Election Commission of India has provided BU 97800, CU 81500 and VVPAT 84760 of M3 model. In the first level checking 6513 VVPAT FLC was found to be Not okey and 7000 VVPAT would be provided by Election Commission of India.
