Union Minister of Mines, Steel, labour and Employment Narendra Singh Tomar has said that there is nothing new in the allegations of the Samajwadi Party (SP) that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is communal.

Tomar, while talking to media persons here on Monday, said, “The SP party’s allegations are not worth even taking in the news because the SP itself is a communal party. I am not here to present the report card of SP; neither there is any need to give report.”

Tomar, lodging a scathing attack on the SP Government of Uttar Pradesh (UP), said if the UP Government is not able to establish control in the State then it should resign.

The Union Minister while approving Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat’s statement, said that Hindustan is a Hindu nation and its Hindutva is its identity. “Hindutva is our identity and all other religions are incorporated in it,” Tomar added.

He said that whatever Bhagwat said is said after thinking over it and he agrees with it. Notably, Bhagwat had said on Monday in Mumbai that India is a Hindu nation and Hindutva is its identity. "Hindustan is a Hindu nation...Hindutva is the identity of our nation and it (Hinduism) can incorporate others (religions) in itself," Bhagwat added.

last week, Bhagwat had said in Cuttack, "The cultural identity of all Indians is Hindutva and the present inhabitants of the country are descendants of this great culture."

Meanwhile, Tomar said that the Inspector Raj has been abolished by the Central Government and that the step has been taken to strengthen the labour laws. The Union Government has come up with a bill in this regard. Several important steps have been included in the Bill to fix inspectors accountability, he added.

Tomar who has is on two day visit to the State capital would also campaign for party candidates in the Assembly by-polls scheduled on August 21 in three Assembly constituencies of the State.
